Who makes a decent dif cover for a 8.25 at a resonable price that won't leak out that stupid rubber plug thingy?

Just silicone the rubber plug thinggggy. Mine leaks too.

I just welded around the bung(on the inside) and tapped it for 1/2" pipe thread like the other axles!

Its not the hard way, its the "smart" way.I once knocked mine out(without out knowing about it),I lost almost all my oil before figuring out I had a problem!Then I had a "real" problem!

How much clearance do you have for the welds. That is to say how much thinkness can I weld in there. I just didn't think of doing it that way....... much better than silicone!!!

Not even an issue,youll know when you see it.You weld "around" the bung just to add material.I really think it would have taken the tapping w/o the weld but didnt want to take the chance!
