are the axles on my 98 xj the same as on a tj?
someone please help

Yes ,no,maybe!Fronts will interchange,the rears will work if you install leaf spring perches.TJ's never used the 8.25" which youll have if you dont have ABS.

I believe the TJ front is a low-pinion Dana 30, where the '98 XJ still used the high-pinion. They will swap -- MacGyver is (or was) running a TJ front axle in his XJ -- but they are not the same.
