I've orderd a jcr offroad bumper for my 00 xj, which is white. The bumper is unfished and I've been going back and forth weather to paint the bumper the same color as the cherokee (white) or paint it black? It the xj is the sport edition and has the end caps are black on the rear bumper and the door handles and top rack are black. Also the fender flares are the color of the xj.

Mine's already painted - I didn't have to ask the masses for their opinions about it either. Keep that crap over at JU.

make up your own mind. it's your jeep. why would you listen to a bunch of people who you don't know?

because I thought I would ask people who enjoy wheeling like I do. Looking for a constructive answer.

A "constructive answer?" Brother, if you're in the market for constructive answers, you really should ask constructive questions. Asking about the feasability of mods, or troubleshooting - those are constructive questions.
Selecting a colour? That's a personal choice - and you can (and should!) paint your bumper whatever colour you damn well please. I do offer one suggestion - that "white" you've got on there already is only a primer, cover it with something.
Oh - I've got a tested (and registered...) IQ of well over 50, so does that meet your criterion?

Having commented earlier, I note that I've forgotten something...
Bumpers should be painted a readily-available colour. Being subject to abuse, keeping a spray-bomb of a matching colour might be useful - for touch-up work...

Dupli-color spray can bed liner. Available at Autozone. Holds up well and is easy to touch up. BTW, it's black.

If you are going to trash on someones IQ you really should proof-read your posts!

Perfect for an assault on West Hollywood :D
Smartarsery aside, I vote for black for all the same reasons as everyone else who recommended black did. Duplicolor bedliner *is* tougher than paint, FWIW.

Nope, scratches off easier. 99cent rattle can is best.

White XJs look good with white bumpers and rack; IMHO.

But doesn't this now belong on the picture forum? You might have a better chance finding what you are looking for by doing a search there; also, IMHO.

Wondered if anyone else noticed the speeling thing lol.
Getting ready to do my JCR's this weekend, thinking of either duplicolor or herculiner. roll on for the main bumper to get the texture and then spray on, or plain paint for the hoop on the front. Also discovered today that yes, in fact, an M12000 will fit a stage 2 jcroffroad winch bumper w/hoop :)
Now then, back to searching for info on durability of herculiner vs duplicolor.
btw, black would offset those end caps on the rear nicely, someting about those euro-look trucks that everything is all one color just seems a bit of lastaraimho, nothin personal Bent, just silly me, unicolor to me is like chrome, suitable for banishment from planet Xenon 7 lol, besides, you're allowed, you do have CA tags after all ;) sorry for your loss of '04 btw.
