'92 4.0 HO. 142,000 miles. Check engine light comes on after restart when hot. Pulling a #24 code - TPS sensor. Replaced that w/o improvement. Replaced O2 sensor just because. Assuming the new Mopar TPS is O.K. , what else could be causing a false #24 code?

O.K. here's the deal. I have posted this same question roughly once a month for the last couple months. Nobody ever has an answer.
I'm ready for any and all speculation, including smart aleck remarks. May as well be entertained before I break down and take it to the dealer.

well if you replaced the sensor and it didn't work...
check the wiring between the tps and the computer.
now for your smart aleck remark...
It's called basic troubleshooting... start at what you think the cause is... and work out from there...

...but the wiring is all covered with that black sticky tape stuff, and goes to places I can't see. Waaaah.
More abuse, please.

More abuse...
USE A DMM and Check for shorts or interminent(spell that) connections.. no need to remove the sticky stuff..
as for the places you can't see.. you can bend right?
do I need to give you a step by step instruction on how to use the dmm?
:D
how's that for abuse. :D

Please Sir, may I have another?
But seriously, folks, is a DMM a digital multi meter? I have an old analog meter from 1965 (no kidding, still works, had to replace the batteries once about 15 years ago). Can I use that?

better not...
You need high impedance(spell that.. :D) safer for your expensive electronics on the vehicle. incase you trace the wrong wire...
get a el cheapo DMM for around 20 bucks...
woops forgot about the abuse..
Your a cheap person.

Maybe I'll just change the antifreeze instead.
I may be cheap, but I'm not inexpensive.
