Electrical Problems

I have a 92 with a 4.0/ AW4. I wasgoing down the road and it cut off. Tried to start it and it would turn over, but not crank. I put a new distributor in it over thanksgiving and bought a new coil but didnt put it in cause mine still work tryed the new coil. nothing. checked the fuses underthe hood and the 30A eng. cntrl. 1 was blown. what i need the know is what would cause this to blow. I have tried a computer as well as the coil. i disconnected my winch and system to eliminate the problem. what do you guys think.

No ideas? What does this fuse go to? can someone look in their haynes or chilton book. All i have is the FSM. or post a link to some wiring diagrams for XJs.
