I have a 94 automatic trans to put into my 89. I know that the neutral position sensor has a different plug configuration and that I need to install the NPS from the 89 into the 94. What about the speed sensor that goes to the computer? Will the sensor from the 89 trans work or fit on the 94 trans. I know that the trans computers from 89 to 94 are different.

As far as hardware goes, the tranny should mate to the enigne its the tcase that you should worry about. You probably gonna need its coresponding tcase bc of the spline count. The sensors are the same what cant be swapped you can just rewire
To use the 89 tcase you can swap a newer tcases main shaft.

Use 89 flywheel & CPS sensor.
It'll bolt right up to the engine, you will need to swap out the kickdown cable & NSS box, but that's as much as I know.
