ok guys when in 4wd high, occasionally the jeep goes duhduhduhduh and jerks horibbly. the front wheels stay engaged but what is doing this and its only like 4duhs so say 1-2sec but it still concerns me. im gonna guess i got thedana 30 up front but not positive.
stock gears
29.5" tires bald

more gas you gife it the worse the duhs are

help a kid out here man im only 16 and learning

If u have the vac. disco front axle, u have a vac. leak in your system. That was the problem i had in my 88. pullin up a hill, vac. would go down, and the axle would jerk and pop un the hill.. nasty stuff.

how do i tell if i have a vac disconnect and it only does it for like 2seconds and not all the time

Stick your head under the front. Look at your axle on the passenger side below and behind the the LCA. If you see what looks like a box sticking out from the axle, you have a disco.

would also help to have more information about your jeep.
Year, engine, tranny?
Important things to post with your question.
