I am not sure what my Jeep has. It is a 1996 Cherokee Classic. However, my driveline is 1997. The engine code is 97 and i have the new style transfer case output. I am not sure if my 8.25 is 27 or 29 spline......anyone?

The only way to know for sure is to pull the shafts. The change occured mid-96. I have a late 96 (manufactured 9/96 IIRC) and I have 29 spline shafts.
