Can a chyrsler 8.25 stand up to being welded. Im poor and cant afford a locker at the moment but want to do something for traction before i go to tellico. I really want to know if the axle can handle the extra stress i have a 4.0 auto 3.55 gears and 33's.
thanks ahead of time for any input

Welding a 8.25

you can weld anything (trust me I'm a welder) the question is will it hold. If you plan on "Lincoln locking" your diff make sure the welder uses Nickel rod anything else usually won't hold.

It's really going to depend on two main things:

1. The quality of the welding process.
2. How aggressively you drive.

Both are controlable, pay close attention to both and you should be fine.
