An update Sintax's So.Cal Karma Thread
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To claim this you must offer something up to the group as well. You can decide if you are willing to ship it or require pickup. I'm sure I'll think of a few more rules as this game goes on, lets see if this catches on.

I have some spare doors at the house I will give away.

*I have a really stripped (no glass, no weather stripping, etc) blue passenger side door. It looks really ugly but will work well after it is installed and painted. I don't recall any dents in it. For free.

*I have a set of passenger doors from an 80's XJ. They are cream in color and are pretty ugly. They have glass in them. I think they are manual locks.windows as well. It looks really ugly but will work well after it is installed and painted. I think there might be a couple of door dings on these doors but not too bad. I bought these from a junk yard a couple of months ago. I never used them (obviously). For free.

*I have a '94 proportioning valve for free

*I have a rear sway bar for free (why would anyone want this?)

*33" Pro Comp MT (I think) with no tread left. 'OK' as a spare. 16 inch rim. Free.

I say free but you might be asked for a (non-sexual) favor in the future (i.e. working on my junk :D). I will not bring the doors to a M&G but I will bring the other stuff. I live in South Pasadena.

Let me know

PM me and we'll figure it out.

Stock rear driveshaft for 97 with 231. Removed from mine...new rear u-joint installed, was going to put it in my wifes 94, but it doesn't fit.

Dakota add a leafs....very stiff, and worth about 5" lift on XJ...made for a 3" lift on dakota. Bough about 6 months ago, ran for about 4 months....too stiff for me. Good for mall crawler or someone who tows/loads jeep heavy.

I pulled this pump and sending unit in a last hope of fixing a problem which kept throwing codes.(and other rough running issues) It is out of a '98, my new unit did'nt solve the problem. To the best of my knowledge it works fine. Ken

Bugger. Still, I'll play!

I just pullled the stereo for replacement in my 88. JVC El Kameleon - I've got to get the remote out for it (I've got to pull the seats and clean out my rig anyhow.) Wiring harness that came with the radio is still included, and it's market. No manual.

Why'd I replace it? No "short-term" memory - but it should be perfect for a "trail" rig, where you've got to set everything anyhow. I'll hold onto it for a fortnight before I toss it, in case anyone is interested. It's a sliding face CD player, in case you were wondering, with one set of "preamp outs" for a sub amp.

Like I said, it wouldn't be for a daily driver - it resets everytime it gets powered off. But, if you don't mind playing with that, and it still sounds good, I'll ship it to you if you'll cover the bill. Otherwise, free. (Local pickup or train OK as well.)

PM or email for details (dragonland2001ATyahooDOTcom)

If for some reason Cracker doesn't take it, put me next in line!

I am adding a "bastard" pack AAL to my rear shackle and need some 3" coils for the front or a 1-2" coil (up-country or ZJ) to combine with my BB spacer...

Sorry, I am a flake. I was gonna be moving into a small studio where there wasn't room for my king size bed. But now I'm moving into a larger place which does have plenty of room.

Well I don't know about Currie yet (I need to make that call this morning) but Scott was having trouble with my gear swap last night. One of the bearings came off and fell onto the floor in little peices. We need a new one for the Dana 44 which he was going to try to pick up today.

Offers and takes. This is kind of how it works

To claim this you must offer something up to the group as well. You can decide if you are willing to ship it or require pickup. I'm sure I'll think of a few more rules as this game goes on, lets see if this catches on.

Lift parties, repair parties, part requests should go in a separate thread in order to preserve good Karma :D

Well, who rides a dirtbike and wants their suspension redone? You see, that's what I do for a living. So would that count?

Eddie G.
April 5th, 2006, 11:46
No. We have been trying to tell you this thread is "Karma Thread of PARTS", not services or parties. There are lots of fabricators and builders on this forum. If you see "parts" offered here that you need which will help you with your XJ buildup, just take them in good will and throw something in the pile later when you have stuff laying around. If you want help with lifting the XJ, or to want to talk about lift parties, etc., start your own new thread about them. If you want to offer services, then there is "classifieds" section. This is already gone way off topic and is annoying to come back to the thread to find out it's about lift parties.

There is nothing wrong with asking for parts, except that should be done in a separate thread. Also IIRC if you look into for sale, someone was giving away free bumpers.

Hopefully next week after 5 months of driving at 35mph, and two months after getting replacement axles, I will/should be swapping axles.

So I will have a HP disco D30 with at least the psgr side tube bent (possibly more) and a d35- non c-clip I believe. Both have factory 3.07s

I live with my in-laws and I am not going to be allowed to bring axles home after I swap in the new axles.

So this is a heads up... otherwise unfortunately they will be finding a dumpster after the swap.

If you want them, pm me to arrange pick-up.

If we have the wherewithall at the end of the day to pull them, I can definitely do that... I can keep shafts in the back of the rig, but an entire housing would be ridiculous.

Cool, I'd appreciate it if you get a chance as my dad's rig could use a set of spares. If it's going to be too much trouble though don't worry about it.

Thanks

You can have mine if you want it. It came off of my 95 and was good when I pulled it.

Is the front bumper black? Will it fit my 93? If so, where are you located?

Kejtar, got the rear replaced last week but the old one was a c-clip. Sorry about that.

bumpers are the grey laredo trim color, off a 1991. I'm in Tustin, but will deliver to the M&G at Grant's place.

the front one comes off the rig this weekend

I guess I can spray them black. Anything is better than my "tweaked" front bumper.

Hey JonBoy,

Is that front bumper still available? I was thinking Ashley (Jordan's daughter) could use it since she crashed hers.

It was good to see you. Let me know how the bumper install goes. Sorry I can't help you with it.

Last nite, I told Ashley and Jordan that she could have the front bumper :sunshine:
I might be able to drop it at Grant's this weekend.

4 35" BFG mt's 315/75/16

20-30% tread. All hold air, few chunks here and there, but still street worthy. Definetely Spare worthy.

Had them listed for sale...but I just want them out of my way and can't stand to throw away good rubber.

Hmm.. I need a 35" spare, but for a 15" rim.
I'm suprised you have no takers. The metrics are usually a little more $$

We meeting up at TDS?

If all you need is one spare, I do have one 16x10 wheel you can have.

TDS...not likely.

I am in the middle of a front axle overhaul... truss, new locker, gears, bearings, ball joints, etc.

Any chance these would fit on a stock Chevy 6-lug rim? (The current tires are 285/75R16s, I believe, 2004 K1500 Suburban.)

Those rims are 16x7. I have mounted this size tire on 16x8's and they look perfect. 16x7 will probably be okay, but not ideal.

Those would be too tall for your suburban hildy. They are the exact same size tire I run on my cherokee.

If you hold on to them for a couple weeks john, I wouldnt mind them to throw on my trailer.. but I'm in the process of a move and dont have space until after I get the new pad.

What means you by "too tall"? I know they'd fit in the wheelwell just fine... isn't that what self-clearancing is all about? ;-)

Tell you what, Cal, you grab them, I'll store them in my side yard 'til you're ready for them, and that way we can hold them up next to the 'burb and see.

John, PM me some contact info and I'll swing up your way to grab them when I take vintagespeed his exhaust. Sometime this week, not sure when. I need to unload my jeep (its full of camping gear atm).

I can always use more Karma,
Just started my first trail rig project so I will have lots of interior or common oem replcment parts for 93 country, so far I have seats front and rear although they have been sitting out in the rain so maybe not so good, Uhaul bolt up reciever, carpet was crap, I destroyed the center console getting that out rear bumper is in good shape and should come off in a month or so, springs are worn out but avialable whith shocks and stock rims are also available but one has big deep scratch in it tires are junk but would work for roller chassis. Once I rip out more I will post.

I've just about finished my lift. So more parts are available from my junk pile if any one needs them. Lower links, track bar, brake lines, etc...
