Inside my transfer case

Overdriven

I'm in the process of swaping a 231 into my wifes ZJ.
The transfer case is out of a 91 XJ. Everything looks great except for this.
There were metal shavings that looked like a drill bit cut strips of metal.

This is the front (small) shift fork. The back side of it was great and everthing else looks great.
What do I need to do about this? Replace the fork? Where do I get it?
How about just replacing the friction pads?

Thanks.

If the pads still snap in place and don't rattle around, you will be fine, otherwise you need to replace the fork.
