Ok I am doing a HP 44 swap. I currently have rusty's long arms and intend to use them to keep the swap easy (easier).

Ok so here's the question. Instead of going through the trouble of fabbing a mount for the drivers side upper radius arm, couldn't I just leave it off? Wouldn't the other side keep the axle from spinning?

If you're going to leave one off, leave off the passenger side. The driver's side one controls the vast majority of axle wrap and torque. Without that one, all the wrap force gets transferred through the passenger side axle tube and the plug welds at the center section, which can cause the tubes to spin or the housing to crack.

Even folks I know who use the stock Ford radius arms choose to wrist the passenger one but leave the driver's side one fixed, always.

yea, I am going to go ahead and fab it all, no sense in cutting corners and screwing up the axle, or the jeep.

make sure you upgrade the bolt size from to at least 1/2" grade 8. I'd run poly on the upper as well, the rubber will shred pretty quick.
