Pretty good for a days work!
I will sand blast and paint it this weekend.
I need to truss the rear and then I can have the gears installed.
4.88
Spool in the rear and a Detroit in the front
R.E. Drop brackets and adjustible LCA are still to come!
I am thinking of putting drums on all four corners! :laugh3:
Stay tuned!

Thanks Brad! :kissyou:

And they say Dana 60s are too heavy.......

BTW, did you have THE OWL come in for the finish welding?

Oh, it wont be too heavy, we used wood and painted it to look like metal!

RE brackets?
I'd imagine so.
Niether of them can weld as good as that spring cup is TIGed to the bracket. :laugh3:

So it's safe to say you're crossing over into trail rig only territory huh?

Yes Gil, RE brackets, I got them through JohnJohn.
They will need to be modified to fit the D44.
I have an old D30 sitting in the shop we used as a template.
If you want it for that let me know.
Some of the brackets are not exactly where they should be, but everything is centered and within an inch of stock.

With lock outs in the front it will still be drivable witt the front Detroit.
The Spool came with the rear gears so I will try it, I can always change it when I decide I don't like it.

And they say Dana 60s are too heavy.......Impossible for an axle to be too heavy.
It just keeps the tires on the ground.
Weeble engineering. :lecture:
