I have a stock 87 jeep cherokee 4dr 4.0l. I want to be able to fit 31 or 33's on it. How high should i go, and who makes the best lift for this jeep?

That is like asking what someone should do for a living. Or what to eat for dinner.

Since you seem to be looking for a solid answer though.

Get the RE 6130 4.5" kit, add drop brackets and upgrade to a HD track bar. It will be complete enough to get you going, and you can keep it up through 35" tires.

You should be able to run 31's stock.

All of my 87's run 31's.

You'll get minor rubbing on a little brace right in front of the tires up front. Just bang on that piece with a hammer, golden.
