i recently rolled my xj and the only mechanical thing wrong with it is an anti-freeze leak from the radiator. When i fill the overflow tank, it emptys quickly and drips out near the front drivers side of the car. How do i figure out if my radiator is ruined or if its somethin small that i can fix?

a shop can do a pressure test or use a dye to find the leak , but for starters check the cap (only thing drivers side I can think of), then start checking hoses, starting with the lower radiator hose.
good luck, it took me three months to find my radiator leak, and I only found it when it started leaking massive amounts.

It's an easy enough fix. pull it, take it to a radiator shop. It should cost about $30.00 for a repair. You might as well have it rodded out while you are there. that's about $60.00

or you can buy a new one for around $100 or so
If it's not leaking very bad try some of the stop leak stuff, pepper, etc. or the stuff you can get at the auto parts places
can the radiators with the plastic sides be repaired at a shop? not to hijack the thread but dont know what kind he has...??
just some suggestions... good luck

I've never been a fan of those stop leak additives for cooling systems...I've heard more horror stories than good. My vote is for a replacement radiator.
Its an easy job to do and if you have even had a hint of overheating, this is a GOOD way to tackle two problems at once. If you've never had it replaced and its over 6 years old, get a new radiator. Fix it right. I'd even go as far as water pump, thermostat and hoses too if they hadn't been serviced recently.

I have a 87 and the cooling system has turned to a replace and repair all in the area of the repair, new rad.,therm.,water pump, timing chain and seal (had a oil leak).
If in the area work it all over, at least make it burn when they P***.
