Im looking into getting a 8.8 but scince ive heard they are offset a bit would i need to run a CV drive shaft or could i just run my stock one? is the pinion long/ shorter to need to mess with drive shaft mods. Im runnin about 4" lift no SYE

The same geometry applies side-to-side on the 8.8 as it does vertically on other axles. With the stock driveshaft you want the pinion to be parallel to the plane of the t-case output; I'd say they are. You probably won't need an SYE if you're good without one right now, but it's still a good idea to have one for strength upgrades as well.

There is at least one active 8.8 thread right now; have you seen it? This is discussed very frequently...
