231 tcase question

I have the tcase from a 94xj. Is the case the same as a 231 from a 98xj
??

I know the output shafts are diff and the tail cones...but can I take the rear half of the case from the 94 231 and put in on the 98??

I'm pretty sure you can - let me know if you need anything with it; I've got a box of oddball spare parts for early and late 231s laying around in the garage someplace. Even have a 21-spline front half, but that's not a problem you'll run into.
