Thanx to all invovled, especially Sean for the welding and the high speed escort out of the woods, I really didn't think we were going to make it. Thanx to Dan and Wes for the passenger seat the following day, although next time we do lower 2, I want some orange barrels and a reflective vest.
My motor is now out and at the machine shop. Turns out the main problem was the cam(was pretty much round with no lobes)two of the push rods cam out from under the rocker arms. The comp cam and stroker kit should cure all my woes for now.
We'll be back in Oct. for the next ride.....

Marcas, it's always a pleasure seeing someone realize the potential of their equipment and themselves.
BW, I don't know why you're thanking me for the welding- I think Beezil's mom was involved in that job somehow :D Give a big thanks to Amy for the ride into town and the much appreciated yapping that went along with it. You lost a motor, Dan lost a motor, and I don't have any oil pressure below 1000 RPMs. It was a bad weekend for the powerplants.

you notice I stayed at camp. It has taken me years of training my hearing to get it selective.

I might be able to help out with the barrels and vest, I'm sure the state of TN has a few they could spare for a weekend. Good luck with the motor, you should bring it up to Monteagle when it's done to "break" it in.
