What lube for window cable?

My '95 w/ electric windows has developed a problem on the drivers side window - it gets hung and won't go all the way up. I disassembled last night and lubed with silicone, and it worked temporarily, but it hung again today. Should I use lithium or something else to lube the cable and tube/housing? I'm kinda stumped.

The inside of the cable wears out and you need a new cable.

Thanks. Is it tough to put in? I've got the door removal process down - but have not disassembled the regulator/motor section yet...
