newer t-stat housing on renix

I've heard of people using the newer t-stat housing on older xj's to gain a spot to put an aftermarket temp sensor probe.I need to do this mod to my 89 4.0 so I can hook up my gauge.Can someone give me some advice on it or pics would be killer.By looking at the newer housing it looks like one of the hoses would interfere with my belt but that's only from what i've seen in pictures.
sorry if this is a newb question, but it never hurts to ask.

Won't be a problem at all, just bolt it up.

I've had one on my Renix for about three years now iwth no problems.

so the hose routing isn't a problem?Can I use my original hoses or do I need to get the newer hoses also?

You can actually take the early hosing, then drill and tap the mounting hole. That is all DC did.

that's a hesco high flow on my 87 renix, and it's designed for...i think a 93? i forget what year i ordered, but it's a later model one. the hoses aren't attached yet, but they went on without problem.

thanks....Are you using the temp sensor that came on the 93 housing or did you put that there?

i got the sensor at auto zone, and it's for a 93.
