What's the suggestion for an 89 Renix engine for an exhaust header? Is there a cheaper alternative that's better than a Borla or a Banks, but better than a stock? Searching left me with ambiguous results and I haven't been able to find a Borla for an 89.

It makes ahuge difference which tranny you have, standard vs auto, due to interfernce issues. The standard is considered no problem, the auto may hit. There is a lot of info on headers on this board and the modified board, try the search function--can be slow if you are on dial-up.

A standard transmission may be a problem, it was for me.

Damn, did the search and missed that link. Thanks. '89 with automatic. Kinda narrows me down to Clifford or Pacesetter. Since I need a new cat too, I'm planning to get it replumbed anyway.
