i have been looking to get a new door seal for my 2000 XJ but i cant bring myself to pay the dealer price. so i had a guy on another board recomend this site http://www.austinhardware.com/default.asp? for a new door seal.. but i cant decide which one will work the best..

these are the kinds that i was told work the best and he sells them were he works. but im not sure on what size to get that will work best for my XJ.. hoping someone here will have some insight... since this will be cheaper than going to the StealerShip

I can't answer your question, but that looks exactly like what I need to fix my leak problem in my '95.

I got Crown Automotive replacement weather stripping for my front doors from www.4x4dude.com for $24.95 per door. Direct replacement, highly recommended. Search the site for sku# 55015782.

I just realized you stated it's a 2000. '97 and up is $68.95 per door (ouch!). Still probably cheaper than the stealership, tho...

dude just buy a used one in good condition off someone. good luck findin a '97 or newer jeep thats bein parted out tho.

And remember to spray them with silicone 2x a year, they will last longer and won't freeze shut in the winter.
