Anyone know how to repair a rear window defroster that has power but doesn't work? You know, the "grid" type kind that is stuck on the inside of the window? There are two spots where there is a gap in the grid that create an open in the circuit. Is there anything I can stick on the spots to bridge the gap and close the circuit? I have some metal tape (real thin stuff, used for body repair) I was thinking of cutting to size and sticking over the spots, but was wondering if there were any products available specifically for this type of repair. I'm open for any suggestions that don"t involve scraping off the whole thing and replacing it with a new one from the dealer, or anything involving solder, because I really don't want to take the whole hatch off to work on it.
Thanks!
