Yeah, sorry about this: It's a 1991 XJ with a 4.0L HO 4x4 4dr. It's also got a 1990 oil filter adapter on it. Is there anything I should know before I attempt to do this? Cause I could just pay one of my stoner mechanics $10 and he'll do it tomorrow night. I'd just rather save the money and learn something.
Change the hoses while your there.Use a hose for fuel injection not regular gas hose, you will need a piece of 5/16 hose about 2ft and about 4" of 3/8 hose to run from the filter to the fuel line.
Larger hose from tank to filter---about $8.00 for the filter,$12.00 for the hose.

Get new hose clamps. Do it on a cold vehicle, loosen hose clamps, wrap rag around fitting area and disconnect line. No need to depressurize system, be prepared for gas to pour out.
