Dr Dino:

I recall you discussing the IAT mod some time ago and the issue of ambient temperature had come up. IIRC, you stated that temps up 50F or lower you should install the IAT back to it's original factory location since it might actually lower gas mileage in addition to having little effect at those colder temps. Do you remember discussing this or am I F.O.S.? :laugh3:

No you're right. The relocated IAT really only produces a small performance gain in warmer weather, when the engine is heat soaked, or if it's running lean (you've helped the engine breathe but still have stock injectors).

If it's cold outside and you don't have a lean-running engine, use the IAT sensor that's plugged in the intake manifold.
