Used tranny good price?

I am on my way to wrecking yard to pick up a used tranny from a 2001 cherokee sport 4x4, 38,000 miles and they want $550 for it. Does this sound like a good price?

I would think thats a fair price considering the milage and your location. I don't keep tabs on the auto trannys though. See if they have a warranty with it. Some on that site have a 1 yr warranty.

That is a good price....get a good warranty.

We sell ours for $500.00 / $100.00 core, and a 6 month warranty.

38k is the kicker though...that is very good milage.

wesal them down $50.00, and NO core charge.

550.00 with only 90 days is a little weak.

I just picked a used one up for $250. The last $250 one I bought lasted over 100K, so I'm hoping the same hold true again.
