Holy Crap! I'm still shaking! Wow, what a day.
I've seen this guy several times. Never could get him on the trail camrea either. Every time I'd see him, I'd be in the Jeep.
Taken the last day of the 1st firearm season. (Good ol' Remington870)
I'd like to get someone to score him who has done it before. I'll utlize the P&Y website and do it myself too.
17pt.
18in spread.
Didn't have a scale. However, he's really not got that big of a body.
He does have a drop tine that was broken off prior to him finding me. It was right below the "crows foot".
Sorry for the poor pics.
Exceeds all my expectations. Never though in a million years.....

Everyones a skeptic. My own family didn't even believe me, when I called to get help. Called some local friends...."What! 17 pt!, Yeah right Hale. You think I'm gonna believe that?" When they came for the viewing, they became believers.

My guess would be he'll still be at the taxidermy shop at WF.
However, I'll see what I can do, if you insist(and I know you do). Surely Laura will let me keep in in the Hi-way Hilton while we're wheeling.

The roses at the base of the antler look a little small. Do me a favor and look at a tooth chart and see if you can't nail down the age. I'm just curious.
