Stock Front DS length

Hey all,


I am looking for the stock length for a front Driveshaft on a XJ with a 231 tcase.

Long story but I put in a D300 clocked flat and had my stock shaft cut down. Unfortunately front susp mods have changed the distance and now it doesn't fit.

Either got to go with a new custom shaft or start with a junkyard shaft.


Distance I am looking for is open/closed center of Ujoint to center of UJ

Can anyone help me out?

I'll measure mine when I get home tonight, mine is sitting on my garage floor.

32" from center of bottom ujoint to top ujoint when shaft is fully compressed
33 3/4" when shaft is fully extended
