The hood on my 87 Wagoneer gets real hot when driving. I mean too hot to touch and it has the under hood insulation. I don't remember it happening to the 2000 XJ I had but that's been awhile back. So is this normal. I'm planning on installing hood vents anyway.

What color is the hood? You do live in AZ so that could afect it also!

That's true.. The 2000 was light gray and the 87 is dark blue. just seemed wierd because the 87 has the insulation and the other one didn't. Oh well going to do the hood vents anyway.
Thanks

I thought the insulation was to protect the paint.
