Kitchen tools warning

Messed up, went to top off my 231 and could not find the hand pump so I borrowed one from the kitchen sink, Ivory brand, pumped it clean with some wolfshead, stuck it in the Mobil-1 atf bottle and topped off my TC.
WARNING: After reinstalling the pump in the soap bottle remember to cycle the pump a few times, wife got a bit miffed, she was expecting Ivory and got ATF instead... Damn, another kitchen tool item added to the forbidden list...
Baster for topping battery......NO
Electric knife for cutting foam..NO
PAM for coating headlights, had to buy my own can...
Baking soda for cleaning battery, have to mix it in kitchen so she does not have to hunt for it...
6" stick thermometer for checking my AC, ..NO

I used to work in a shop where we built upholstered furnature as well as case goods and woodworking. It was always smiled upon when employees picked up an electric knife if they ran across one at a yard sale or flea market. Of coarse they were always reimbursed. It was usually a whoping 50-75 cents. they are great for foam!
While I'm on the subject of upholsery, if you take some scrap fiberfill, wrap it loosely around the end of a stick or pole you will have the worlds best spider web remover.

I have a mustard squeeze bottle that I use to fill the TC.Twist it closed -crawl under and fill the case,don,t worry if it falls over.

Basters work good for sucking old - nasty brake fluid out of the MC resevoir or PS fluid from it's own...also for refilling the tilt/trim oil on a I-O speedboat.
