I have a 96 classic, i was wheelin the other day and my check engine light came on.(going down a steep hill in 4-lo in first gear) then later than night it turned right back off. Should i be concerned? anyone have similar problems? thanks

Did you scan it and see if any codes came back?

i do not have a scan tool, i heard autozone will pull the codes for free?>

You are correct sir. I'd just have to know what the deal was. If no code showed up, then I'd be OK but I couldn't simply forget about it. Shame you're not up here. I just got a new scanner and haven't used it yet. Let us know what it was...if anything shows up at all.

if ur light turned off their computer wont read the codes.
