Removing rotors on a 01 Cherokee Classic

I'm changing the front brakes and rotors on an 01 Cherokee Classic. Rotors are being stubborn, can I just hammer them off by hitting the back of them? I have penetrating oil on them now...not budging. Any tips...heat?

do they have that cheesy little clip holding them on ? goes over the stud. They should just come right off.

The clip is off. Lot of rust on them.
