Funny Squeak/Squeal

I have noticed a small squeak/squeel coming from the front of my 2000. At first I thought it was a belt starting to slip, but the sound does not change with RPM increase like a belt squeal would. I think it might be the "sensor" on the break pad. It does stop when I step on the brake pedal. If that's the case, I've never heard a brake sensor sound like a squealing belt before. (Kind of has a revolving/cycling sound to it) This does go away about 5min into the drive. Guess I'll change the pads and see. Any tips for the pad replacement. Done it a million times on every other type of vehicle and I'm sure it won't be a problem. Right??
