NP228/229 Vacuum 2wd/4wd- Cable swap?

I have an '85 with the NP229 TC that has the vacuum actuated 2wd/4wd flip switch on the console. My Jeep has been stuck in 4wd only for the past 5 months, vacuum doesn't work! I NEED to know DETAILED instructions on how to change over to the PULL/PUSH cable type of system that will fix my problem all together. I know it's not super-hard but I'd like some advice or directions. Any help would be super!

It's not an axle-type of engagement. The Vacuum goes straight to the Transfer Case. It's the same theory in a sense, but I'm looking for somone who has done this specificially to s NP228/229.
