If your problem is that it won't start, because of a bad cam sensor, you might be able to tease it to life in an emergency by turning on the ignition, opening the hood, and unplugging/replugging the distributor with the ignition on. When I did this on a 93 with bad cam sensor, it would start once and run until shut off, but would require this trick every start, so not a real workaround for daily use, but you can at least get it out of someone's driveway or get it home, etc. in event of a failure.
