I hope the guys over at CTJEEP don't mind me posting this up...

There will be a public meeting on November 3 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Connecticut Forest and Park Association in Middlefield to discuss the Connecticut Recreational Trails Plan. There is a ton of infomation about this posted in the thread on CTJEEP and I urge all the New England wheelers to check it out and at least try to come out for the meeting.

As most of you know, there is very legal four-wheeling in the state of CT and we all need to do what we can to make sure the state hears us and we are properly represented. All of the local clubs including CTJEEP, NEJEEP, EC4WDA, NEOW and a few others will all have members there. You don't have to be a member of any club or even live in the state of CT to attend the meeting. I plan on meeting up with the folks from CTJEEP and heading to the meeting with them. Anyone is more than welcome to meet up with me and tag along. PM me for more infomation.

Here's there thread on CTJEEP.ORG

thanks for going to this meeting Ryan. just for general info, this meeting IS NOT directed at getting us new places to wheel in Ct. this meeting is strictly geared toward ATV /OHV use. but there is no reason not to support other motorized recreation in their efforts. and by being visible and vocal at these meetings we establish ourselves as an "interested group" that will come to mind when something that DOES involve us comes to the table in the future. i am attending meetings in MA for this exact same reason and it's building a good reputaion with state officials for our full-size off road vehicle users. however you look at it the ATV/OHV community is a group we NEED to align ourselves with. they have $$ and political lobby power and much better atorneys.

if anyone can get there i strongly suggest going to the meeting. you dont even have to say anything, just sign in and watch and listen. might get an idea of what we do and how we do it.
