TPS or Transmission???

I've already posted a similar topic to this but my Jeep has hit 220k and it feels like the transmission is starting to slip. I have noticed though that it really only slips when the engine is idling extremely high or rough, which it does on a regular basis. I was told that my TPS might be the problem and not my transmission. If so, what does shifting have to do with the TPS?

The transmission uses a signal from the TPS to control the pressure and shift points. The AW4 is electronic controlled.
BTW it is slipping because of the TPS and will burn up the bands if you let it go.
