I own a 1985 cherokee 2 dr with the 2.8 V6 (given to me for free) and it cranks but will not start i put new plugs and wires and distrubuter in it but thats about it. Please HELP ME

With very few exceptions if you have fuel and spark/timing the motor will run. Do you have fuel, timing, and spark?

i know i it gets fuel to the carb/pretty sure it gets spark/and i think the timings right

You could have a possible compression problem..... Try a compression test just to be safe.
