Ok, so I was working like normal, manual labor type stuff, and the inspector finally shows up (a day late) to authorize me to take out the sidewalk. Day is looking decent. Tells me I can take the sidewalk out, because it has buckled, but I need a permit. Ok, go down to the city offices to get a permit. Need Insurance. Go down to our insurance agent. Can't get it until tomorrow. Ok, the day is blown, only got about two hours of work in towards my Jeep fund (insert shameless pimping of my want ad...see sig). End up going to the yardwaste dump, then go get a half a yard of drain rock. Oh yeah, I'm driving the XJ Waggy. So the trailer is nose high to start with, and once I'm going down the highway, the rock shifts to the back of the trailer. Boom, no tongue weight. Ended up fishtailing FOUR TIMES on the way home, THREE times I felt like I was going to go over, at least. End up parking on the side of the highway and calling home for a shovel, so I can shift the whole load forward. I ended up taking three hours to make a probably less than 30 mile total trip. And I thought Mondays were supposed to be bad.
