Where the heck do the thrust washers goes? Do they go in the same place they were when the spider gears were in there, or do they go somewhere else?

yep, up against the axle tubes.

The thrust washers go directly in between the lockright and the carrier on both sides. They lay completely flush against the inside of the case. The same EXACT position they were in when you had the spiders in there, correct.
