Last night CT and probably most of New England got hammered w/ quite a few rain storms. To make a long story short, i was driving home late at night and you can tell it had just stopped raining b/c the roads were wet, well i didnt notice a puddle that came about half way across the road and i hit it goin kinda fast...now i know you guys go wheeling in 2 feet of mud and have it splash all over, but i was just wondering b/c i've heard of cars breaking down after goin through deep water, when i hit this puddle, it was at about 25mph and more than enough to make the water splash up and over my hood and roof. So my question is, if the jeep stays running after that is there anything i should check for or does that mean its ok? Ive read plenty of posts about waterproofing but i didnt know if that type of stuff was necessary for the minor wheeling i do. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

if you stayed running, and didint inhale any water (do you still have the stock airbox?) I'm sure you'll be fine

biggest thing is to let it keep running (dont shut it off right away) and let everything dry out under the hood (electrical connections etc)

If it was an automobile that you did that with you might have a concern. BUT, you were driving a Jeep and you just tested it trail worthyness. Passed with flying colors didn't it?

Do it more often and enjoy the thrill of driving a Jeep.

Yea, i figured a jeep would be more water capable than a regular suv or car, and i also have the stock airbox.
