I just finished installing my new axles in the rear (XJ Dana 44) and there seems to be WAY too much resistance when I try to turn the shafts by hand. The shafts are from Superior, the seals and bearings are dealer items. The axle has a spool in it already from Randy's Ring and Pinion, but when I had the old shafts in they spun somewhat freely, so I doubt that the spool is the problem. The Superior shafts are splined further down the shaft, but that shouldn't make a difference as far as fit goes.
Anyone have a clue why this is happening?
