Brake Pedal *squeak*

Whenever I take my foot off the brake pedal.. it squeaks (only on release) sounds like I ran over a mouse.

Doesn't affect braking.

I can hear it on the outside/underbody.

I sprayed WD40 on the e-brake 'Y-connection'.. still squeaks.

Should I jack up the rear, pull the wheels/drums?

The springs in the rear brakes maybe the source of the noise. When was the last time you did a rear brake job? How did the springs look?
