View Full Version : Swapping out leaf packs.... anything I should remember?

It's been a while since I had my leaf pack off (about 2 years at least) and I think it was kind of fun trying to wrestle it into position iwth the AAL on it....

Now I'm putting on a sligthly bigger (taller/longer?) pack and my general plan is to disco the axle.... then to take the old pack off, then put the new one on and pull up the axle. Is there anything that I'm forgetting? oh it's gonna be a 4" tomken pack.

a crowbar(sp?) to align the spring into the shackle.

Cool... got that... plus I started yesterday doing rounds with PB Blaster.. so by Friday I'll be good to go :)

Save yourself some headaches.....cut the old u-bolts, and replace them with new ones. Don't re-use bolts or nuts.

Call it cheap insurance.
