can anyone tell me what year cherokees had an hp for sure is it 94 to 96. im trying to find one and all the salvage yards have 94 but arnt sure if there hp or not.

How about 84-99? 00-01 had the low-pinion. Go for a '95 or later to ensure you get the larger 297-x axle u-joints on a non-disco housing if that's a concern.

i believe they went to standard pinion in 2000. the ones before that shoud all be high pinion.
