tach output voltage/value for viper remote start...

Have FSM, found wire at coil and PCM that is responsible for voltage at coil ('98 4.0, grey wire at black PCM connector and connector at coil).

Viper manuals states wire should read 1-6vac depending on engine speed, meter reading about 27ish vac. Also states finding former value may not be possible in a hei system.

Alternative is to reprogram unit via remote so engine senses dcv at a fuel injector after a few seconds of motor running. Really want to default rpm/tach route - HATE programming these things and via tach can crank unit right up when finished soldering last wire.

Going to search 12Volt site but maybe someone can tell me if 1-6vac is ever present or I may have to go the "more difficult route" finding correct tach voltage.

Thanks,

Mike
