Fixed upper control arm on RE 4.5" kit

I am thinking of buying an RE 4.5" kit and have noticed that the kit for the XJ has fixed upper control arms where as the TJ kit has adjustable ones. Should I get the adjustable uppers and why does the TJ kit have adjustable uppers and not the XJ. One thing I did think of is an extra rubber bush in the upper control arm may suit the XJ unibody better giving less transmitted harshness to the cabin.

The upper is fixed on that one for economy - the stock UCA length is 15" and that's what you'll still want at 4.5" although the lowers need to be longer (approx 15 7/8" instead of the stock 16.5")

I'd definitely recommend at least one pair of adjustable arms though for fine-tuning the pinion angle and alignment.

Actually, the LCA length needs to be 16 and 7/16ths.

Adjust your LCAs properly, then set the pinion angle accordingly.

Fergie

EDIT: Stock LCA length is 15.75".

Ack...looks like I FUBAR'd that one. Thanks for catching the typos.
