-EXTERIOR: SMALL DENT IN BACK LEFT DOOR AS BIG AS THE KEY ENTYR TO UNLOCK/LOCK JEEP
-STOCK RACK
-PAINT ON THE TOP AND ON THE HOOD THE PAINT IS FAIDING (BLUE)
ENGINE GREAT CONDITION:
-NEW HOSES, FAN, REBUILD CARB,
I GOT THIS JEEP FOR CHRISTMAS AND IM LOOKIN CAR BC I WILL BE LEAVING TO GO ON A MISSION FOR MY CHURCH AND I NEED SOME MORE MONEY IF I COULD PLEASE GET SOME ESTIMATES ON HOW MUCH ANYONE WOULD BE WILLIN TO PAY FOR IT SO I WILL HAVE A GOOD ESTIMATE FOR HOW MUCH TO PUT IT UP FOR SALE ON THANX

Lets just say cherokees aren't all that desirable from years 84-86

a cherokee with the 2.8 engine in it is typically worth just about as much dead as it is in good running condition. you'd probably be best running it into the ground and selling it for scrap. now that you've been empowered with that information, how quickly you run it into the ground is up to you... :laugh3:

$500.......we used to buy stuff like that at our cabin.....use it for getting to top of the mountain and picking up deer etc.....run them for a year or two until someone else donates another.

My advice is to try and find a hunter to give a couple hundred bucks $$ and call it a day.

Are you by chance Mormon? Don't worry not gonna make fun of you. My friend is Mormon and he had to do his mission a few years ago. They sent him up to Oregon. Yeah, and I probably wouldn't buy your Jeep since joining NAXJA...until I got here I never knew of the differences in models and such. I was impressed by the 2.8 in our old S10, but apparently its an unloved engine for a Cherokee...:) I'd say just keep it and take it with you since it sounds as though you were planning on taking a car with you if you could buy one.

rock, you asked a question and got an answer. You were unfortunate enough to get a rather unwanted year of Cherokee. If you really want to get rid of it, you'll likely have to sell it cheap, or you can keep it. I personally would keep it because you already have it, it was free, you won't have to settle for some other car that cost only $500-$1000, and XJs tend to be pretty reliable.
