Cherokee Has Me Blowing a Fuse! Or Am I Making IT Blow Fuses?

My Cherokee has developed a problem I've never encountered before. If I press the throttle too far- as in a fast take-off- the 40 amp ignition fuse blows. Any idea what's going on?

My Cherokee is a 91 2wd w/ auto & 4.0.

Driving me crazy!!! :smsoap:

The ignition system fuse( no. F11) is suppose to be a 60 Amp. fuse.

May still not be your problem, but...I'd put a 60 in there.

Are you sure about that? (Sorry checking back late- got blown out by the hurricane in the middle of a major move & am still getting settled in my new place. Thanks!)

It's also the fuse that charges your battery.
