Rear Bumper bolt pattern

I've been searching this morning but I'm not having much luck (esp that I'm in a rush for work).

Does anyone have the rear crossmember bolt patterns for the XJ ?

I'm referring to the distance both the the dimensions of the pattern on each side ... as well as the distance between the inside holes. Doing another project up at the school and don't have time to take off one of the bumpers I have.

I will keep looking if i catch a break during work .. but any assistance is appreciated, regardless.

TIA

Joe

I wouldn't bet the farm on these measurements, but .....
Code:
       |------------ 32-3/4"----------------|-------|-----4.4 -4.5"
o o o o -----
                                                          |
o o o o -----
                                                          |
                                                          |
                                                      2.45"

38-1/8" was bad. 32-3/4" is correct

These have been confirmed on a 1991 -- bet the farm.

p.s.

The welded nuts are not perfectly placed. I have variances of 4.45-4.59" for the 4.5" measurement.

The holes in the OE bracket are 0.5"(h) x 0.6"(v) oblongs.

Fantastic everyone ! :sunshine:

I appreciate the help with the numbers. I just didn't have time to pull off the bumpers for measuring .. and my sheets are MIA.

I will be slotting the holes as well .. but yes .. i've seen some wayward welded nuts for the crossmember.

I'll keep everyone up to date what I come up with and what is in store.

Thanks again for the timely assistance ! Now off to buy metal at $7.50 a lb :smsoap:
